Fathers Day

Last Sunday was Father's day. So instead of Basic facts we did a Father's day card. Also the Quick Writes were about Fathers day. So first we had to make a list about all the things we liked to do with our Dads and when we liked to do it. Then we had to do the things you loved about your Dad and why.

The second Quick Write you have to turn the things you wrote on your list into sentences. After that you chose your two most favorite sentences out of the whens and whys and ask a buddy to give you feedback on your sentences. Then we checked it off with our Teacher
and we were done. Here is a finished copy.

  

Cross Country 2019

Cross Country 2019

This year we are doing Cross country. It is a blast because you get to run as fast as you can. It is even better because people cheer you on so you can have a fast finish. The course is at the beach which is good because you get to fell the cool sea breeze.

We have to do 2 big laps around the Cross Country course. My most favorite part of the course is when you go down a big ditch. It is really handy because when you go down you don't really have to do anything your legs just go down. 

Today was the real Cross Country day, I got 4th. I think I could of done better because I didn't try as hard as I could have. If I had tried harder I reckon I would've gotten 2nd or 3rd. Also I usually get 1st or 3rd. 

Cross country

This term we have to do cross country. Which is when we have to run a certain distance. We race in year groups. If you finish within the top five you are selected to go to the interschool's. At the interschools you face the people from other schools who are the same year group as you. If you win out of that, that means you are the fastest kid for your age group. We have been training by doing block run's and going to the actual course. In week 5 that is when we run and see who gets in the top 5. Did you know that our cross country course is at the beach? It is also nice to feel the sea breeze after you have a long run.
